Upping my game

Well, I was looking at my “stats” for the Blog. First day, so so. Second day not so great. Third day was the best, then I dropped again yesterday 🙁 So far only 2 people had chosen to follow. I don’t see what you see on your page so I am assuming there is a button that says “follow” if you want to see all the posts. If not then it’s a hit or miss.

Today I learned a few more things about me. Well some of them I already knew but not to what extreme. I said before that I have a hard time with bad spelling. Well tonight I found out just how much! A friend made a list of what was being served for Thanksgiving and what each person needed to bring. The list was handed to me at our weekly get together and it started out with Turkee. Yup, Turkee. Then it went to Greyvy. As I started to scan down the list I could feel my head start to get foggy. My hands were sweating and I know my blood pressure went stupid. By the time I realized that I had been had it was too late! One of my pals was laughing so hard she was choking and another spit some of her beer! I had no idea that my brain would react that quickly and put me into an immediate anxiety attack over spelling! I don’t think I have ever seen that many misspelled words on one page EXCEPT at “Po Folks Restaurant”. Some of you may remember that place down in FL. Their whole menu was written in “Southern”. I tried more than once but could not for the life of me make myself read that damn menu! Thank Goodness they finally closed down so that I never had to go there again. OK, enough of that. Julie, I own you one!

I also decided today to try something new. A couple things actually. Many of you know that I paint. I have done oils and acrylic, pastels and charcoal but never watercolors. A class came up on my feed a couple days ago and I decided to try it out. Well, I have found a new pleasure! I had a ball. It was so relaxing and I didn’t want the class to end. I was happy with my painting and will hopefully finish it tomorrow. Watercolors are definitely on my To Do List! The second thing I tried was Corn Chowder Soup! Oh MY!!! How have I never had Corn Chowder Soup before? It was awesome and I wished I had skipped the meal and just went for more soup 🙂 Next time, no taco salad JUST soup!

Today was full of fun and lots of laughs. I spent most of the day with my friends and had a great time. I am still determined to stay positive and hope that all the demons are out of my head! I have been reading other people’s posts on Facebook and I feel sorry for them. I think I use to be them and I never want to go back to that. Seems for some people they are only happy when they are complaining. I watch day after day and have yet to see anything positive come out of their mouths. Then I watch as their lives crumble. I do feel bad for them because I truly believe in the Law of Attraction. What you put out into the Universe is what you get back. I have known that for a long time but just since Oct 16th have I been focused on what I’m thinking and how I’m acting. For the most part it’s been easy. I have had a few bumps and frustrations but I have stopped and taken a deep breath and fought the urge to scream. I talk myself off the ledge and the issue becomes very small. Sounds crazy but it’s working for me.

Well, I’m going to try and write in the mornings instead of at night. I am really too tired at night and all I can think of is going to bed. Mornings will be better. I can start my day on a good note and put all kinds of good stuff to the Universe! I will start tomorrow morning. I have so much more to tell you about my vacation and HOW I got back to a good place mentally. Stay tuned for more Philly and the Jersey Shore!!

  1. ROTFLMAO!!!!!!! Oh how I should have went to Roma’s just to see your expressions. Don’t let the small stuff bother you so much. You give to much to this world to let bad spelling even be an issue. By the way…you own me one!!?? Still laughing.
